We're building the largest open-access analysis of what employers actually screen for versus what they claim to want. Using TF-IDF keyword extraction on 10,000+ real job postings, we'll quantify the gap between job description language and actual hiring criteria across 6 industries.

What We Will Analyze

  • Top keywords by industry: what terms appear most and discriminate best between industries

  • Seniority distribution: how requirements escalate from entry to executive level

  • Skills gap analysis: which skills are most requested vs most commonly missing from resumes

  • Hidden requirements: qualifications mentioned in descriptions but not in title or "required" sections

  • Career-level breakdown: how the same role title means different things at different seniority levels

Data Sources

USAJobs API (federal government postings — public domain data), supplemented by Adzuna API and curated public datasets. No scraping. All data collected through legitimate APIs with proper attribution.
