Two-Page Resume

A two-page resume is an extended resume format typically appropriate for senior professionals with 10+ years of experience or extensive relevant qualifications.

A two-page resume uses two full pages to present a candidate's professional background, providing more space for detailed work history, publications, certifications, technical skills, and notable projects. This length is appropriate when you have substantial relevant experience that cannot be effectively condensed to one page.

Two-page resumes are commonly used by senior professionals with 10-15+ years of experience, executives, technical specialists with deep domain expertise, academics, and professionals in industries where comprehensive documentation is expected (federal government, healthcare, engineering). The second page should contain genuinely relevant content — not padding.

When using two pages, ensure your strongest qualifications appear on page one, as some reviewers may not reach page two. Include your name and "Page 2" in the header of the second page. Never leave page two less than half full; if you only have a few lines spilling over, edit down to one page instead. The content on both pages should be targeted to the role you are applying for.
